FRIDAY 10 May 2024 4:00 - 6:00PM

This spring we are excited to host The Basics of Plating workshop guided by artist and gardener Johanna Tagada Hoffbeck. This workshop will help you nurture your skills and confidence in gardening sustainably, giving you the basic know-how to start your horticultural experiments at home or additional tips and ideas for the more experienced growers.

Johanna will start by guiding us through the basics of growing organic vegetables and herbs, speaking to seed selection, soil, season, biodiversity, and gardening on a budget. We will also riff off the shapes, colours, and energies we find within plants and seeds to paint and draw our impressions from our encounters.

To honour the iconic setting of this workshop, participants are invited to end the session with the creation of a small pinch pot, which will be fired or recycled by Rochester Square.

No gardening experience is necessary – this event suits beginners and the most experienced gardeners. All organic seeds, veganic soil, pots, art supplies and plant-based painting materials will be provided!

Booking is essential. Please note that free tickets are now sold out, limited amount of tickets with donation are still available. Please follow the link below to reserve your space.
