Rochester Square

We really value Clay as the core material that we walk on and eat from every day in London. It is also an adaptable, inclusive and non-hierarchal material to work with. We use it every day for one of our most basic activities: in the form of tableware for eating, children education to art making, architecture experimentation, crafts therapy; ceramic can be both a very humble and a highly sophisticated material.

After digging from the ground at Rochester Square we have collected some of London’s clay and used it for various projects. We have set up a space to learn, practice and experiment with clay and also to share experiences between artists and potters.
